POLLUTION
in- POLLUTION IS POOR MANAGEMENT OF GOVERNMENT ,SHORT SIGHTED -SELFISH ,INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT WHICH ENCOURAGES MINORITY OF PEOPLE TO DESTROY MAJORITY OF NATURAL RESOURCES
Electricity takes part in the important role for the
industrial development. No one can do industrial development without
electricity. Myanmar started to use
market oriented system since 1988. Government encourage private sector to built
factory around Myanmar. Consumption of electricity power has increased year by
year. In Myanmar, electricity power is produced and sold by only government.

The table shows the electricity of electric
power install capacity generation and consumption in 10 years exactly from
2005-06 to 2014-15 installed. Capacity is measured in megawatt and kilowatt is
used for generation and consumption.
Installed capacity has increased year by year, 1690
in 2005-200- The lowest installed capacity is 1684 megawatt in 2006- 2007 , the
highest is 4416 megawatt in 2014-15 . The second highest installed capacity is
3413 megawatt in 2010-11.
Electric power generation has also increased year by
year. The lowest power generation stood at 6064.16 in 2005-2006 fiscal year and it reached 14180.89 million kilowatt in
2014-15.
Electric power consumption also measured year by
year, In 2005-2006, electric power consumption stood at 4325.66 million
kilowatt. It reached to 11256 million kilowatt in 2014-15.
The proportion of electric power, installed capacity,
generation, and consumption will probably continue to
increase in the next two decade in Myanmar.
According to CSO studies, there are 60 million
people in Myanmar, 486 towns and 2250 village get electric power until
2010-2011. Some parts of Myanmar do not get electric power supply.
United generated indicate the amount of electricity
generated by the power system. It includes electric energy used in power
stations, total units sent out and line.
Unit consumed indicate the amount of
electric power consumed by the power for departmental use plus power used by
the consumers.
Sales of electric power are classified into four
categories as follows:
1.
General Purpose (General Purpose &
Domestic Power)
2.
Industrial Power (Industrial & Small
Power)
3.
Bulk (Commercial Power)
4.
Other (Temporary lighting and street
lighting)
The electric loss on the line is determined by the
difference between the unit and the sum of the consumption by station
auxiliaries and units sold.

The volume electric power used by industry has
increased year by year since 1990-1991. In 2005-2006 . Industry used 1756.42
million it is stood of…60%……of total consumption. In 2014-2015 . The volume of
electric power reached 2984.6 million .It is expected that the volume of
industrial power use will increase in the future
5.1 Electricity Shortage
Electric loss is economic problem in
Myanmar. According to CSO, Book(2011, Page-242) e.g in 1990-1991, Electric
corporation generated 2643.05 million Kwh lost it lost 934.28 million Kwh. In
2010-2011, it lost 2157.81 million Kwh or 21.57 message world Myanmar need to
find and solution for the electric loss with me help of international EXPERT Electricity shortage is barrier for
industrial development.
5.2 Finding the source for power
supply
Myanmar use gas the many direct and water to produce
electricity. There are four main rivers following north to south in Myanmar
such as, Ayeyarwaddy, Than Lwin, Chin Dwin, Sittaung.
We need to utilize these river to
produce electric power moreover, there are small rivers following into these
main river. If we build suitable of suitable place to produce electricity, we
may be able to supply industries development.
5.3 GAS turbine
Myanmar has been selling gas
Thailand and China for a long time.We should use these gas to produce
electricity by building gas turbine near gas realization area.Such as Tanin
Tharyee(Kan pock region) and Kyauk Phyu (Rakhine region). If we can build gas
turbine in these region give can supply electricity to Tanin Tharyee, Mon,
Kayin and Rakhine region. These region are located on coastal line.
Foreign
direct investor will be interested to build the factory in coastal line to
reduce transportation charges and can export value added product to world
market directly by ship.
5.4 Solar System
Myanmar is tropical country solar
and energy wind power are renewable use
sunlight to produce electricity .Some household from remote region use solar
system to get the electricity. We can build solar system especially in central
Myanmar.
5.5
Wind Power
Sea tide usually climb up two times. It is said that tide reach near Pyi township by crossing
a lot of towns in Ayeyarwaddy deltas region. If we can use tide, we may be able
to support coastline and delta region as
well as main land.
